Challenge:
An international manufacturer of wire and cable which experienced turnover at the rate of 50%. The staffing costs for the organization were $3.4 million annually.
Solution
The organization adopted the use of the ECI Behavioral Insight® assessment within the hiring process, after conducting a Foundation Study to identify the factors associated with high performance in Professional staff roles. High Performance Footprints were created and consistently used to assess match of candidates to these position during the selection process.
Results
After 12 months, turnover rates were reduced from 50% to 10% in Professional Staff positions, with 92% of new hires meeting or exceeding position requirements on the job.
Prior to the institution of the ECI Behavioral Insight, approximately 50% of the staffing budget ($1,700,000) was allocated for Professional Staffing costs. By reducing turnover from 50% to 10%, the estimated savings for Professional Staffing was $1,390,909.
